Line Operator form
Reefer Monitor Defaults tab
The Reefer Monitor Defaults tab displays the default Reefer Monitor Time(s) for the selected line operator. You can use the Reefer Monitor Defaults tab to set up Reefer Monitor Time(s) at the line operator level which are then cascaded down to all the units owned by the given line operator.
The Reefer Monitor Defaults tab displays the following fields:
Monitor Time (1-4): Specify up to four default Monitor Time(s) for the line operator.
The values in the four fields must be specified in the chronological order from 00:00 to 23:59 regardless of whether you specify all the values or not. If the values in the fields are not in order, N4 displays an error message.
N4 performs the same validation when you use the Reefer Requirements form (on page 1) to specify the Reefer Monitor Time(s) for a unit.
Off Power Time Limit (mins): Specify the number of minutes for which a Reefer unit that belongs to this line operator can remain unplugged.
Propagate Changes to Units: Select this check box to ensure that N4 propagates any changes made to the default Monitor Time(s) for a line operator to all the units belonging to the line operator. For more information, see Propagate Changes to Units check box, below.
When you select this check box, it triggers a one-time update for all Reefer units in the yard. However, when you create a new Reefer for a line operator with default Monitor Times specified, N4 propagates these values to the new unit, automatically, regardless of whether the Propagate Changes to Units check box is selected or not for the line operator.
All the fields added to the Reefer Monitor Defaults tab are supported by the SNX import/export.
Stop the propagation of the default Reefer Monitor: Select this check box to ensure that N4 does not propagate any changes made to the default Monitor Time(s) for a line operator to all the units belonging to the line operator. For more information, see Stop the propagation of the default Reefer Monitor check box, below.
When you update the monitor times and check the Stop the propagation of the default Reefer Monitor check box for a line operator and save the record, N4 saves the changes for the line operator but does not propagate anything to the reefer units belonging to the line operator. N4 will propagate the monitor times to the units when you uncheck the Stop the propagation of the default Reefer Monitor check box and save the record.
All the fields added to the Reefer Monitor Defaults tab are supported by the SNX import/export.
